The Biggest Gift Joy Journal Entry

A friend of mine was in town last weekend.  I would go so far as to call her one of my BFFs.  She came into our studio and got some new clothing.  Since we do not see her much she got a nice selection and when she got home she texted me the following:

“I love my new clothes!  There was a fire alarm and evacuation at the Holiday Inn.  I abandoned the luggage and took my Steel Pony bag.”

That was the nicest thing…………She gave me the biggest gift.

It is not always easy to have an attitude of Gratitude.  Like anything worthwhile it takes hard work and other times it seems everything around you is scheming to help. Today I am grateful for the mild winter we are having on the east coast.

I know we all like our animals.  We are no exception.  I have 3 beautiful Male cats that I am grateful for.  Before they came into my life I had a white cat whose name was Hamlet.  She was my sweetheart.  She was the prettiest thing I had ever seen. Someone had left her in a field in a box at about 6 weeks old.  Can you believe that?  Who would do such a thing!  I was the fortunate one though.  As a teen I had  a male white cat named Romeo and he was my buddy so I guess I had a thing for white cats.

Over the 24 years of her life she taught me so much.  She taught me how to laugh at her antics, to care for her when she was ill(which was a lot after the age of 20), to not leave her with just anyone to care for her and to be in the moment.  Who said animals give unconditional love?  You had to earn her respect and love but once you were in her heart she was a love.  I miss her every day but I am also grateful that I had her for 24 years and know she looks out for me even now.

I would love to hear your stories of a special pet.  Please use the leave a response link to share.

I LOVE the beach.  It is one of my favorite places to de-stress and find my creative juices.   For many years Dennis and I worked 24/7.  We either were in the Studio working or doing a show, no time for beaches.  A few years ago we discovered Aruba.

WOW.  What a beach………………………and the snorkeling…………………………WOW

What gives me Joy?  Beaches and Sunsets…………………….How about you?

Welcome to my Joy Journal

Although it is not quite the new year, I am starting my resolutions a bit early.  I am going to try to post things I am grateful for every week.

I hope with these posts to inspire myself as well as others.

To start off,  One of the things I am most grateful for are our Customers.  It overwhelms me with happiness every time I hear a story about how an item that was bought brings cheer and happiness to someone.  Here are some of you.
