I just put our Summer Collection on our website and I thought it might be fun to talk about the inspiration behind it. When I think about what I want to write about I try to think about what you want to read. I would love it if you would give me some ideas what might be interesting to you. Meantime, let's talk Summer.
Maybe my all time favorite season. It feels like everything slows down just a little which is hard but necessary for me. The ocean calls to me and I start to think about what clothing makes me feel like summer. My go to is always the Cotton Gauze and Linen blends. Love the light texture of gauze.
This season I was feeling like combining very soft color with sunny color. As you know about me, I never look at trends when I design but I am always curious about them so I check after I am finished.
Spring trend was Tie-Dye obsessed. We are all about that right? I may call it Shibori but that is just the Japanese version of it.
For summer there were many trends but the ones I hit were Lavender. Ours is so soft and pale. Just perfect to mix with our Pistachio (also very light). That combo is so summer you can't miss with it. But in addition to the pale I wanted a little sunny to the mix which Sunshine and Sea Glass does for the collection. 
The other trend is off the shoulder. I designed these little toppers that can spice up a plain outfit and has the off the shoulder feature.
What summer means to me is easy, casual, comfortable, light and sunny. I hope that this collection has achieved that. What does Summer mean to you?
