One of a Kind Hand dyed, Hand sewn , Hand embroidered Tank and skirt set

As an artist I love trying out different techniques.  When I came across Alabama Channins work, I was so impressed with what she was doing.  If you never saw her work, you should go to her site.  I used her as my muse for this outfit.  

Hand sewing takes a lot of time and I decided as part of this slow fashion challenge that I would use my outcuts and not cut into any new fabric.  So, the challenge was to hand sew  all the pieces together to form the outfit.  The top was not as big a challenge as the skirt but I love the rawness it has become.  The skirt is finished at the waist with a rollover elastic and I used cotton jersey for the pieces so there would be stretch.

The top is not only hand sewn but I stenciled the flowers and then cut them out and embroidered around them.  

Sizing

The Tank is 32" in the chest with a 30" waist and 38" at the bottom.  It is 23" long and has an 8" Neck drop.

The skirt has a waist of 28".  The hip is 42" and it measures 42" long in the Front ands 45" long in the back
